Membership

In order to become a member, you have to have done a BCU 1 Star course. If haven't done a BCU 1 Star course but feel you have equivalent paddling experience, you have to provide an according reference to indicate your ability.

There are five classes of membership, the fees of which are listed below. In addition to the membership fee, every member has to pay an insurance fee of £1.70.
 

For all existing members, the renewal of the membership fee is due 1^st April each year. Please download the Fees Form and the Membership Renewal Form (1 + 2) by clicking on the relevant buttons  below, print them out, fill them in (including the Health Questionnaire on the back of the renewal form) and send them together with your payment to the Membership Secretary (postal address to be found on the form).

Newly joining members, please download, print and fill in the Fees Form and the Joining Form (1 + 3) and send them together with your payment to the Membership Secretary. If you join part way through the membership year your fee will be reduced accordingly (however there is no corresponding reduction in the insurance payment of £ 1.70).
