Membership

In order to become a member, you have to have done a BCU 1 Star course. If haven't done a BCU 1 Star course but feel you have equivalent paddling experience, you have to provide an according reference to indicate your ability.

There are five classes of membership, the fees of which are listed below. In addition to the membership fee, every member has to pay an insurance fee (adults £2.00, juniors £1.10).
 

For all existing members, the renewal of the membership fee is due 1^st April each year. Please download the fees form and the membership form by clicking on the respective buttons below, print them out, fill them in (including the health questionnaire attached to the membership form) and send them together with your payment to the Membership Secretary (postal address to be found on the fees form).

Newly joining members, please download, print and fill in the forms and send them together with your payment to the Membership Secretary. If you join part way through the membership year your fee may be reduced accordingly, subject to the Membership Secretary's prior consent. (Please note that there will be no reduction of the insurance payment).
